HEALTHCARE staff are lending their support to a growing campaign to raise awareness about stroke.

Heritage Healthcare is backing #MakeMayPurple an initiative by the Stroke Association to help people affected by the condition.

The Stroke Association is the UK’s leading stroke charity, is committed to changing the world for individuals who have been affected, both survivors and their families, and is also heavily involved in research.

This year’s campaign, Make May Purple, is encouraging everyone to get involved by wearing, baking, painting or partying in purple to show support and raise funds vital to the charity’s work.

Darlington-based homecare provider with 17 offices across the country, Heritage Healthcare

supports a number of individuals affected by stroke and will be joining a variety of events to raise funds and awareness.

Heritage Healthcare Director Sally Pickersgill said: “We are incredibly proud to be supporting the Stroke Association with their #MakeMayPurple campaign. It’s such a worthy cause and it’s great for people to be aware of their work.”
