A FESTIVE spectacular proved to be a who’s who of talent as students turned to Dr Seuss for inspiration.

Students from Beaumont Hill Academy, Darlington, proved green can be good when they performed the surreal comedy The Grinch.

A packed audience saw the hall at The Education Village transformed into Whoville as its residents tried to prevent grumpy green monster The Grinch stealing Christmas.

Directed by Mary Jeffery, a feast of acting, song and dance had parents, carers and families clapping along, while staff threw some of their best moves to a Tina Turner classic.

Assistant head teacher Vicky Maddison said: “Pupils and staff have been rehearsing since September and the performance was absolutely brilliant, reflecting their hard work and talents.”
