CARING students have been doing their bit for a range of charities offering to donate stem cells and raise much-needed funds.
An amazing 51 students joined the register to become potential stem cell donors following a visit from the Anthony Nolan Trust.
Sixth formers Richard, Pierce and Lewis also trained to become student champions to support the charity even further.
The tutor group 12GG sold roses and asked students to wear pink or red for Valentine’s Day raising £140 for the charity Zoe’s Place in the process.
Meanwhile, 12JM started the term in a really positive way by deciding to walk a circuit of the school site once a month to raise money for charity, each paying £1 to complete the challenge.
Year 9 students found themselves on the slippery slope on a school trip to improve their skills.
Thirty pupils travelled to Serre Chevalier in France where they demonstrated remarkable perseverance in physically demanding skiing activities, showing impressive progress en piste.
Arthur W won the award for most improved and Elodie P won the award for biggest contribution.
